My experience has ranged from ICUs and ERs in a previous career to dotcom startups and Fortune 500 Companies in the IT world. I\'m a Linux/Unix and storage administrator experienced in system implementation in large-scale environments with Solaris and RedHat-based distros on physical hardware and VMs. Currently, I am working with a dynamite team implementing end-to-end platform automation using Saltstack, Scalr, Artifactory, Bamboo, and scripting. I\'m versed in bash scripting, patching, SAN administration, Veritas Storage Foundation and Netbackup. Platform support for Oracle RAC and ASM, as well as supporting DBAs and developers. Throughout my career, I have been responsible for the integrity and recoverability of large amounts of critical data. I am drawn to new and shiny gadgets but always ask if it is useful or just a complex fad. Hands-on AWS experience deploying AWS EC2, Provisioned I/O, EBS and S3 using Chef and CLI. Not interested in relocating at this time.
