About Laure Rittié
As a Project Leader in the Discovery PL team, I combine leadership and scientific expertise to lead several of GSK\'s drug discovery projects.I have a scientific background with special skills for analyzing, strategizing, orchestrating, and ultimately solving problems. I excel at leading complex matrix teams and at making decisions in high-risk situations. I have led biomedical research programs in Academia and Industry, and have experience in both Research and Development. My current role is at the interface of science and business. I am accountable for strategizing and leading all aspects of several Research projects across modalities and therapeutic areas. My everyday work is to design and execute the strategy of research projects, identify and resolve conflicts or adjust course of action to ensure execution of projects\' goals. I am passionate about leading, inspiring, and communicating to teams and senior leaders. Incorporating business perspectives in my decision making is part of my everyday focus, to ensure delivery of the pipeline according to GSK\'s medicine vision. I trained as a Biochemist and Molecular Biologist and have spent the first 15+ years of my career studying skin biology, first as a student, then as faculty in Academia. I transitioned to Industry in 2017 moving to GSK, and working in Dermatology, Cell & Gene Therapy, and now across the portfolio.I have trained and mentored over 50 women in Science and I am passionate about including all aspects of diversity in the workplace. I volunteer by leading the Women’s Leadership Initiative chapter at GSK\'s Upper Providence site.#ally #strongertogether #weareallhumans
