   Joined in November of 2021, to add an asset-based component to a network that was exclusively 3PL, and identify freight savings. Established a company contract for asset-based providers. Revised fuel surcharge to be zero-based for all TL providers. Contacted several carriers, in various states of the US. Needed the best fits for our network and theirs. Established contractual relationships with 9 asset-based providers, and began to move loads. During first fiscal year, 20% of TL volume was converted to assets. Freight savings also realized, despite a soft market. Responsibilities- Work with transportation planning team daily, to assist them with routing decisions and address any service concerns- Correspond with network carriers weekly, to search for additional mutually beneficial opportunities that will allow us to grow our volume together- Manage relationship with dedicated service provider. Dedicated operations at 4 company DCs deliver replenishment orders weekly to company branch locations. Dedicated drivers are utilized to manage the deliveries to locations with special requirements-Identify opportunities to reduce freight spend. This can be done through delivery, consolidations, carrier rate negotiations, identifying opportunities to combine the LTL shipments into truckload shipments.
