My name is Loujein, and I\'m your unconventional Process Engineer, choosing to live in a world of infinite possibilities, preferring to see things not as they are but as they could be. To reach the goals we set today, we need to enable the technology of tomorrow. My passion for sustainability and the tech industry led me to be part of the solution management team at SAP. With a bachelor\'s degree in Chemical Engineering from the American University of Beirut, I kick-started my career as a chemical engineer in the oil and gas industry back in UAE. I made the transition into sustainability and clean energy space by pursuing my master\'s degree in Process Engineering in Newfoundland, Canada, as an scholar with research focus on bio-fuels. I joined a smart thermostat tech startup to lead their product research and development team, enabling customers of different age groups to join the fight for climate change and utilize today\'s latest green technology to automate their home heating and cooling system. In my last role, I worked with the utility sector as part of their energy and management conservation program development team. My activities included but were not limited to scanning, piloting, and launching rebates for the latest gas efficient equipment technology to aid a faster market transformation towards zero emissions. This role strengthened my conviction that technology is key to driving impactful change, ultimately inspiring me to join SAP in 2022. Now, as part of the SAP Build Solution Management team, I focus on understanding customer needs and market space to create effective go-to-market and adoption strategies.When I\'m not working to fix a problem, I\'m working on expanding my skill set. Time is an asset that I never wish to compromise. I love volunteering with various organizations that amplify minority voices in the workforce, serving as the co-chair for the Business Women Network in Vancouver and as a steering committee member for SAP\'s Indigenous Ally Network. In my spare time, I find enjoy in challenging outdoor adventures, rock and ice climbing, martial arts, and I\'m an aspiring documentary photographer.
