As a Conduct Risk Manager within Standard Life’s Group Risk Compliance function, I’m responsible for leading a team of Senior Consultants to provide regulatory advice, guidance, oversight, and challenge to the business. Our mission is to champion a purpose-led culture that- Embeds SM & CR across the Group- Promotes a high standard of personal conduct; and- Ensures Standard Life adheres to regulatory principles and rules.I lead key team activities including- Ensuring high standards of employee conduct and behaviour are maintained by overseeing, challenging and providing SME input on disciplinary cases involving potential breaches of the Individual Conduct Rules- Driving SM & CR understanding and accountability through innovative learning and engagement initiatives such as our SMCR & You e-learning module- Providing SME advice and oversight on Gifts & Hospitality to promote integrity, personal responsibility, and behaviours aligned with our culture and Code of Conduct; and- Supporting projects and the business with advice and guidance, to help them navigate regulatory complexity and drive change forward.I previously collaborated with Line 2 colleagues to ensure effective, efficient, consistent, and co-ordinated Line 2 oversight of the delivery of the Consumer Duty Programme in my role on the Training and Communications work streams. I’m passionate about people development and lead Training and Development activity for my department.My team are proud winners of the 2022 Business Culture Award for Best Internal Communications Strategy. I also hold the ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance (with merit), the ICA Advanced Certificate in Compliance (with distinction), as well as ITIL Foundation in IT Service Management and Professional Banker Certificate qualifications.
