I am currently completing my 2nd year as an Early Career Teacher (ECT) in Reception. This role has provided me with invaluable experience in early years education, allowing me to develop and implement engaging, child-centered lessons that support the social, emotional, and academic development of young learners.Throughout this year, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of students, fostering an inclusive classroom where each child feels valued, heard, and supported. I am passionate about creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. My work in Reception has reinforced my commitment to promoting equity, inclusion, and the well-being of every child.As part of my professional journey, I have worked closely with colleagues to continuously reflect on and improve my teaching practice. ABOUT LOUISE KIERNAN
I am currently in the final stages of completing my Early Career Teacher (ECT) Year as a Reception Class Teacher in South East London. As an educator, I am determined, creative, resourceful, and passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Gloucestershire, which inspired me to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at the University of Manchester. My English subject specialism is one of my key strengths, and I have consistently integrated my deep knowledge of this subject into planning engaging, interactive, and impactful lessons for my students. I am committed to encouraging pupils to share their unique experiences, cultures, interests, and strengths. I believe this is essential in nurturing compassionate, global citizens. Ensuring that every child has a voice and that equity and inclusion are embedded within all aspects of school life is of paramount importance to me. I am proactive and consistently go above and beyond to meet the needs of all students, ensuring that the ethos of the school is reflected in my practice. I take pride in maintaining a positive and cheerful demeanor, even under pressure. I am resilient in the face of challenges, viewing them as valuable opportunities for growth and improvement.
