An enthusiastic and outgoing individual with a varied career history and experience in Construction, Engineering, Facilities Management, Public Sector and Charity Sector. Advise Internal Clients of the correct procurement route, considering total contract spend, length of contract etc. Preparation of tender enquiries for all materials, collate and analyse quotations, negotiation and placing of orders with suitable suppliers and sub-contractors. Ongoing assessments of supplier performances. Ensuring the company’s quality procedure is adhered to, including suggestions for improvements. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build up and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers, dealing with difficult situations both diplomatically and assertively when necessary. Skilled in prioritising a varied workload and ‘getting things done’, working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Computer literate and a good working knowledge of mainframe computer packages, excel and word.
