Led acquisitions, hospital transitions, contracts with major health systems, and a COVID-19 pivot that secured IMD’s growth trajectory. Founded IMD and built it into a multi-million-dollar molecular diagnostics laboratory through strategic acquisitions, health system contracts, and national expansion. Negotiated acquisition of Pathology Services Inc.($1.2M), securing $3M annual recurring revenue and ~$120K profit, while successfully transitioning agreements with Sutter East Bay, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Highland Hospital, and multiple health plans. Established Regional Diagnostic Center (Berkeley, CA) and Molecular Center of Excellence (Aurora, CO) to deliver advanced oncology diagnostics (Histology/IHC, Flow Cytometry, FISH, qPCR, NGS). Partnered with Cedars-Sinai and UCSF to validate Flow Cytometry and NGS programs, positioning IMD competitively against national players (NeoGenomics, Tempus, Caris, LabCorp). Secured and managed major health system contracts, including Kaiser Permanente ($2M/year), Dignity Health, Adventist Health, and Sutter CPMC (>$350K–$400K/month). Spearheaded COVID-19 testing pivot, generating >$7M revenue in 18–24 months, stabilizing IMD during the pandemic and enabling further expansion. Recruited senior executives, including Dr. Steve Bauer (past President, College of American Pathology), to strengthen leadership and investor confidence. Authored and presented investor-ready business plans that attracted Private Equity interest for $8–10M national expansion. Initiated a collaborative business model with Sutter Affiliated Pathology Groups, aligning pathology and oncology needs.
