Contracted for an initial six-month engagement to take a finance data proof of concept through full refactor, rebuild, and early stabilisation within a major transformation programme.Advising on data engineering best practice for the finance technology function, introducing maintainable design patterns and scalable data structures.Refactored and optimised legacy ETL/ELT pipelines, improving efficiency, maintainability, and reliability across financial data processes.Implemented Scrum delivery practices and introduced a Microsoft DevOps backlog to formalise sprint planning, transparency, and delivery cadence.Mentoring the Finance Technology, Change and Risk team to strengthen engineering capability and embed modern data practices.Designed and delivered semantic, dimensional, and star-schema models to enhance reporting and forecasting accuracy.Supporting migration of General Ledger, forecasting, and solvency reporting into Workday Prism, ensuring the solution is system agnostic and future-ready.Collaborating closely with finance planning and IT stakeholders to align delivery with architectural and governance standards within Azure and Microsoft SQL Server environments.Current phase: progressing through build to early stabilisation, ensuring performance, data integrity, and readiness for production rollout.
