Since 2019, I have collaborated with the Neurology department of CHU Hassan II on multiple projects aimed at better understanding the manifestations of acquired aphasia in Moroccan Arabic. We, for the first time, validated and standardized an aphasia instrument in Moroccan Arabic (ref. El Ouardi et al, 2023).

ABOUT LOUBNA EL OUARDI
Loubna El Ouardi is an Assistant Professor in the Didactics Department at the Faculty of Educational Sciences in Rabat. Her work focuses on assessing morphosyntactic deficits in Moroccan Arabic non-fluent aphasia, with comparisons to fluent aphasia and typical language processing. She is an alumna of the Fulbright Joint-Supervision Program at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she worked at the Aphasia Research Center (PI: Yasmeen Faroqi-Shah).
