ABOUT LOU LINDSLEY
I am a 1st year doctoral student at UNC Chapel Hill majoring in Biostatistics. I have research experience from the NCSU-Duke Summer Institute in Biostatistics (SIBS) as well as the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. At SIBS, I collaborated with a fellow student in the program’s end of the summer data hackathon—a project in which we won first place for our penalized regression model using k-Nearest Neighbor imputation. During the BUSI program, I conducted data management for a UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center study of acute myeloid leukemia. Here, I expanded the study\'s SAS code to include analysis of further cycles of follow up. My interest is in public health data analysis, specifically infectious disease epidemiology, cancer, bayesian statistics, causal inference, and health equity.
