ABOUT CHARLOTTE ELLIS

Chemist with a deep curiosity for biology. Focused on developing tools to advance life science research. I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Victoria (2022), where I worked under the guidance of Professor Ian Manners. Prior to that, I earned an MSci in Chemistry at the University of Bristol in 2016 and an MRes in Catalysis at Cardiff University in 2017. After earning my doctorate, I joined VoxCell BioInnovation as a Senior Chemist, where I developed proprietary bioinks for 3D bioprinting of tissue models. In 2023, I joined STEMCELL Technologies as a Scientist in the Chemistry team within Research & Development. My role centers on creating reagents that enhance and simplify biological workflows for life science researchers. My technical strengths include- Polymer synthesis and purification - Organic and inorganic synthetic chemistry - Molecular and polymer self-assembly - Lipid nanoparticle formulation - Nanoparticle characterization I’m driven by curiosity and collaboration, and am always eager to expand my knowledge and contribute to meaningful advancements in the field.
