Expertise in Medicaid fiscal administrator operations, solution architecture, takeover and turnover implementations.Lorrie served in a project management and senior consultant role as part of the BerryDunn PMO team for West Virginia’s (WV) MMIS certification project. Lorrie has been instrumental in the deliverable review process adding a firm layer of quality assurance on all key milestone and contractual deliverables. As a key contributor and SME for CMS certification, Lorrie has been critical in the development of compliance strategies to the new CMS gate review pilot MECT certification process. Lorrie has a keen eye for detail and as a MMIS SME understands the pinpoint evidence needed for compliance with an end result of a fully funded and CMS certified system. Lorrie participated in a pilot with CMS and WV DHHR to adopt the new milestone reviews for certification that ultimately became MECT 2.0 released by CMS March 2016. WV was the first state to successfully complete the new milestone review certification process. The WV MMIS received CMS approval in October 2016 allowing WV to claim enhanced FFP retroactively to Day 1. CMS updated the MECT 2.0 document in July 2016 to become the MECT 2.1 version for use today based on the positive outcome, results and feedback from the successful WV pilot.Lorrie is currently leading Maintenance & Operations activities for the WV Integrated Eligibility System (IES) implementation. Overseeing the production environment and monitoring the vendors SLAs and compliance to the contract while migrating multiple legacy systems into the single IES for West Virginia.
