ABOUT LORRAINE RENEE LONG

I have years of experience in Business and Academic Non-profit Communications and Management. I’ve also have years of experience through grad school and volunteering for Non-Profits. I’ve honed clever, clear and concise, so I can create content that informs, delights and inspires.I now employ these strengths in managing successful content processes, developing resources, and connecting communities.In my previous position I received visitors as well as served as an Administrative Assistant & Project Coordinator. I also have experience working as a Office Manager, Executive Assistant, Human Resources Director, Accounts Payable Representative, Food Service Representative, and Board Secretary from my previous employer Delaware Valley Charter High School. My performance in maintaining all these positions was acknowledged through my outstanding performance reviews received while employed at that organization. I am the former Praise and Worship Leader/Chime Bell Choir Director. I previously maintained the Clearances under the Board of Christian Ed. for Youth Leaders and Church Officers. I formally served as the Youth Department Dir, Board of Christian Education Treasurer, Youth Choir Dir, the Drama Ministry, Audio/Visual Team, Praise and Worship Team and the Safe Place for Youth Committee. As a Former member of Women Supporting Women, I have helped organize the Annual Clothing Giveaway, April Showers Baby Shower & Christmas Toy Drive. I am currently an Independent Vocal/Alto Sax Artist and Choir/Praise Team Consultant at a church in the Philadelphia Community. I am also the Assistant to a Grammy Nominated Songwriter and Recording Producer.Teaching music as well as volunteering has taught me to work with people and with youth where they are, figure out their needs and show up prepared to add value to their lives. It takes dedication, passion and guts to run and lead an organization, imagination and humor to keep folks checked in, and empathy and patience to provide useful feedback.
