ABOUT LORRAINE KHAZZI VILLANUEVA

Hello! I am Khazzi Villanueva, a third-year student at the Michael G. Foster School of Business, University of Washington, pursuing a dual major in Marketing and Information Systems with a minor in International Studies of Southeast Asia. As a first-generation immigrant from the Philippines, I bring a unique, multicultural perspective to my academic and professional endeavors, fluent in both English and Tagalog. With a keen interest in the Sports & Entertainment industry, particularly in football, I am focused on external marketing and community-building strategies to engage diverse audiences and serve underrepresented youth who come from a similar background as mine. I also wish to gain experience within the fan engagement sector of game-day. My career aspirations include contributing to leading organizations such as the Big Ten, the NFL, or ESPN.Beyond Marketing, tech and digital risk matter to me because the systems shaping our lives aren’t neutral and the consequences of failure rarely fall equally. Technology decides who gets access, who gets protected, and who gets left behind. Digital risk sits at the intersection of innovation, trust, and accountability, and I want to be in the room making sure those systems are built responsibly. My background pushes me to ask better questions about security, bias, and impact, and to advocate for solutions that protect real people - not just profits.I am also deeply committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, and I aim to leverage my education and experiences to empower women of color in the business field.\"Lead with love.\"-
