I am responsible for ensuring that BTHFT is complying with its duties under the Equality Act 2010. This is done through advice, training, consultation, monitoring and support. I work closely with Equality Leads in Bradford and District and am an active member of the Yorkshire and Humber Equality Leads network. Recently achievements include:~ Work I undertook around BME recruitment rates which was published in the Foundation Trust Network document,\"Leading by Example\"(Workforce Race Equality Standard, guidance for Foundation Trusts).~ Work with Local Health Equality partners on updating our Violence Against Women and Girls Health Strategy to take account of the NICE Guidance regarding responding to domestic and sexual abuse.I am also responsible for the following staffing issues in BTHFT:~ Leading on taking action to comply with the Workforce Race Equality Standard~Staff engagement activity (Staff Survey, Friends and Family Test etc)~ Harassment and Bullying~ Allegations ManagementI am also the Business Liaison for Project SEARCH Bradford which is provides 900+ hours of on the job work experience at BTHFT for people with learning difficulties.
