Manages the day-to-day Human Resources activities of assigned departments and charged with developing strategic relationships to provide an effective and efficient customer service-oriented team that will handle all their HR-related needs. Forms and maintains effective working relationships with client groups, provides guidance, support and interpretation for People related policies and processes. Regularly meet with assigned business units to fully understand their challenges and identify and recommend People related solutions. Partner with business unit leaders and employees to improve work relationships, enhance employee engagement, increase productivity and retention and ensure an effective work environment. Partner with department leads to determine staffing needs and strategy, create new positions and update current job descriptions to ensure the departments attract and retain talent. Review Talent Acquisition deliverables and provide feedback accordingly. Work closely with management to increase productivity and retention and decrease/mitigate turnover. Collaborate with Legal, Labor, EEO and other stakeholders to ensure employee relations compliance. Assist executive management in implementing HR policies and procedures to the consolidated workforce, addressing and mitigating organization issues. Monitors effectiveness of programs and supporting planning functions for all programmatic changes. Provide performance management guidance and consultation to managers, including coaching, counseling, and career development. Monitor and conduct trend analysis for key metrics that can be used to maximize efficiencies, improve HR processes to better meet the needs of the organization Provide research and statistical information to assist in the formulation of HR policies and programs including ad hoc research and reports as requested. Keep abreast of any changes to policy and ensure accurate communication of same.
