   Horizons is an award-winning transformational educational experience that closes the opportunity gap and changes the trajectories of low-income children’s lives. Across the country, 51 Horizons programs challenge students academically, socially and physically, inspiring them to become life-long learners. Students engage in rich academic curriculum and explore swimming, music, theater, art and other activities that cultivate creativity and leadership. Horizons supports children throughout their elementary and secondary school years, and they become part of an enduring learning community. Returning to the program year after year, Horizons students build lasting relationships with their teachers and peers, learn to tackle new challenges, and develop life skills essential for success.
