ABOUT LORNA DAVIS

Following a passion for water developed within my personal and professional journey I started SuDSPlanter Ltd to provide a retrofit flood prevention system to prevent rain water flows entering the sewer My passion is providing a professional conduit between the rural and urban communities having had an upbringing in agriculture. This led me to undertake a Nuffield Farming Trust scholarship on ‘the value of managing water within agriculture for social, environmental and economic gain’. As part of my work I developed the ‘Water Standard’ for NFU Cymru as well as sat as Agricultural lead on the FCERM committee in Wales. My experience ranges from SuDS design and delivery within the urban landscape through to green engineering techniques for land stabilisation, overland flow, and flood management within the rural landscape for both the public and private sector. I am a proactive person with a dedicated, innovative approach to work. Skills include- Surface water catchment risk and value analysis for water quality and flood defence - Landscape design and implementation, LVIA and brownfield regeneration - SuDS; Conceptual analysis through to design, engagement and delivery - Stakeholder engagement, public consultation and educational support - Green engineering; Catchment analysis, design & delivery of soft landscape solutions - Graphics & visualisation skills in Adobe, Autodesk & ArcView.
