WORK HISTORY
Research Physical Scientist @U.S. Department Of Commerce
Princeton, NJ, US
Contributed to the development of the 1st NOAA Earth System Model, continued development and active participation in CMIP5 and CMIP6. Research areas extend to:large scale interactions and feedbacks between climate and carbon. Applications include sensitivity studies of sinking Panama and examining how the large scale physical ocean circulation changes affect climate mean state and variability, and ocean biogeochemistry, multi-ensemble simulation of the last millennium with all and individual climate forging to study longer timescale carbon responses and variability.* assessment of ocean model formulation on the uncertainty in climate * ocean climate response to volcanic eruptions* role of past, present, and future climate forcings on climate and carbon (last millennium, preindustrial, present-day, future projections)* equilibrium climate sensitivity studies * mechanisms impacting climate mean state, variability (ENSO), and ocean biogeochemistry* impact of land use change on the terrestrial biosphere carbon stores and fluxes* sensitivity of CO2 fertilization on climate* evaluation of the role of secondary vegetation on the terrestrial carbon cycle* execution, analysis and data publishing of GFDL\'s Earth System Models for the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) and Phase 6 (CMIP6)* Expert reviewer - Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Fifth Assessment Report (IPCC AR52•••••13- Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5C (2018)- 4th National Climate Assessment Second Order Draft (2017)- NOAA Hollings and EPP/MSI Undergraduate Scholarship Fellowship Program, 2018-present* Panelist and poster reviewer - Rider University Independent Scholarship and Creative Activities Presentations Day* Reviewer for various scientific journals (i.e, Journal of Climate, Climate Dynamics)
