About Lori Whitener

I have six years of experience in the mortgage industry. I started out as Loan Partner/LOA and this moved into Processing where I was able to gain experience working the loan file from prequalification to clear to close. After three years there, I was promoted to Disclosure Team Lead in our Compliance department where I led a team, ensuring loans company-wide were initially disclosed and redisclosed for changes in an accurate, timely manner. I assisted our training department with updating program rules as they changed for Conventional, Jumbo, FHA, VA, USDA, and all state bond DPA programs. I was responsible for staying abreast of all program changes and updating the company accordingly. Ensured accuracy of loan estimates at the point of initial disclosure and redisclosure, and assisted closing with ensuring accuracies of Preliminary CDs as needed. Prior to my role at Acopia, I spent 13 years in the sales world - starting in advertising sales and moving into account/project management roles within the construction sector. I also have some freelance experience with social media and e-mail marketing. My well rounded background in account management is an asset to the mortgage world because I am well versed in learning pretty much anything that is thrown at me quickly and I know how to work with every type of person you can imagine. In my spare time, I am a marathon runner and avid fitness enthusiast. I ran my ninth marathon in October of last year and I currently pace/coach other runners on the way to their goals. I also saw a need for a local run club and organized one that I lead every Wednesday in my community which has been very successful and brought business to a new local pub in our area. Outside of running and working hard, I enjoy spending time with my family and my two high energy pups - a three year old Cattle Dog and a two year old German Shepherd. I am always on the move, carry positive energy and I am determined and dedicated daily to whatever I do.
