ABOUT LORI MCNAMARA
Welcome! I am an energetic, dedicated, and professional Executive Assistant/Office Administration Professional who offers her powers of business systems improvement to save time and money. I can help you and your colleagues relax, knowing you have an effective pair of hands to take care of the day-to-day functioning of the office environment, as well as keeping calendar appointments for executives running smoothly. Seeking out an internship to complete an \'Executive Assistant - Business Administration\' 12-month accelerated program at Seneca College, I was instead offered a full-time job! So I accepted the offer, completing my final semester coursework in the evenings and on weekends. This experience was a tangible indicator of my can-do attitude and unquestionable work ethic. I graduated and received my diploma in August, 2018. For my next great challenge, I secured a role positively impacting young people, as I don\'t have children of my own. In April 2021 at the Toronto District School Board I was hired as an on-call Office Support Staff team member, working in a variety of school offices across the city. I set a goal to become an employee of a great school within one year. This happened recently, at my one year anniversary, when I was hired at the fantastic Central Technical Institute as an acting Senior Office Assistant in the Attendance Office/Vice Principal\'s Office. I even wowed myself by achieving the \'senior\' Office Assistant role over simply Office Assistant. Working with students/teens, school staff and community members is a true pleasure every day! Past entrepreneurial business activities include- angel investors - an application for a United States Business Method Patent - pitching a brand new business method to Fortune 500 C-Suite Level Executives in Toronto and New York City - an appearance on CBC\'s Dragon\'s Den to pitch the concept to the show\'s panel of investors - co-producer, writer, and guest roles on CBC’s Living in Toronto show segment I am a life-long go-getter. Unfortunately, I was slowed down by a broken wrist, and then wrist surgery, from February 2019-July 2020, but I got back in the game full-force! Since January 2020 I have also volunteered my time with Woodgreen Community Services helping New Canadians practice their language skills during online \'English Conversation Circles.\'
