ABOUT LORI CAMERON

I have a diversified combination of skills from the not-for-profit sector as well as from the private sector at the Regional Director level, and extensive community volunteer work. I am passionate and dedicated to my work with AMSSA, which aligns with my dedication to fairness, equity and building inclusive communities. My work at AMSSA includes developing training and providing knowledge that will support those working in the settlement and employment services sector. I am a Certified Career Development Professional (CCDP) with certificates in CDP Essentials Educational and Vocational Guidance Practitioner (EVGP) and Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF). My employment-services experience includes specialized placement services, guiding newcomers to their first Canadian work experience and toward their long-term professional career goals. Originally from Saskatchewan and a graduate of the University of Regina I was inspired by the Bill Cameron Award in Journalism at the U of R. I recently created a scholarship in my own name to recognize and support students who demonstrate excellence in Geography and Environmental Studies.
