Directs the work to be accomplished by staff assigned to the Work and Family Life (WFL) Program positions in Deployment Readiness Support, Individual Augmentees, Spouse and Family Support, Ombudsman Program, Transition Assistance, Relocation Assistance, Family Employment, Personal Financial, Emergency Response, Life Skills, Exceptional Family Member Program and Command Support Programs.• Manages a broad range of Work and Family Life (WFL) classes for NSA Hampton Roads Portsmouth and Chesapeake Annex; assigns work throughout Installation Area of Responsibility (AOR) based on priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments, and staff capabilities. • Assists FFSC Site Director in establishing essential staffing decisions and plans for seven (7) EFMP Case Managers, two (2) WFL Consultants, two Education Services Facilitators (ESF) and an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC); participating on interview panels and providing support to mitigate any future staffing issues.• Provides government oversite, manages staff and ensures that staff receives proper training to fulfill requirements and scope of Work and Family Life (WFL) positions. Provides essential staff and Emergency Operation Center (EOC) training in areas of Emergency Management (EM) and Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC) operations.• Serves as primary Fleet & Family Support Program (FFSP) Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC) Director; supporting as a secondary EFAC Director to the FFSC Director for NSA Hampton Roads in the planning, activation, sustainment and deactivation of an EFAC; providing for DoD Personnel and their families to obtain disaster relief, contingency information and support services following a disaster.
