Responsible for overall communications for the fourth largest school district in the state of Wisconsin serving more than students- Led the successful rebranding of the school district and development of logos for the majority of elementary schools in the district- Oversaw two complete redesigns of the District and school websites (2016 and 2024)- Created communication strategies and implemented plans for four successful referendum campaigns. The first in 2014 for a $20M capital referendum, which provided HVAC improvements at Washington Middle School and Franklin Middle School, and other facility projects. The second was the 2017 referendum for $16.5 million for ten years ($233M) in operation revenue and $68.5M for capital projects which included construction of a new elementary school. The third was the 2022 referendum for $92.6 million referendum for facility improvements (including two renovated athletic stadiums, a renovated baseball and softball complex, renovated auditoriums, and other significant facility improvements). The fourth was in 2024 for $183 million for facility additions/renovations at elementary schools, a new west side elementary school, and security improvements at secondary schools- Recognized as the 2020 Communicator of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America Northeast Wisconsin- Received an Award of Excellence Best of Class Award for social media recruitment campaign from the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association in 2022- Received a 2023 National School Public Relations Golden Achievement Award for the 2022 Referendum Campaign- Received a 2024 National School Public Relations Award of Excellence for a educator recruitment brochure. Other areas of responsibility include: strategic communications, oversight of social media strategy and implementation, internal communications, public events, media relations, publications, crisis communications and government relations.
