About Lori Lentsch

I am a General Director of Cybersecurity for Union Pacific. In this role, I lead teams that secure endpoints, provision access, protect sensitive information, identify system vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with regulations and cyber security policies. I am widely respected for my ability to work with cross-functional teams and resolve conflicting priorities.In 2005, I joined Union Pacific’s Tech department where I assisted users across the Company with computer issues. I then moved to the Cybersecurity team where I worked as a Cyber-Engineer before moving into a leadership role. I am a 17-year member of Union Pacific’s Women’s Initiative, LEAD, where I have served as Executive Director and chaired several committees. In these roles, I have had the opportunity to mentor women entering their STEM careers, build relationships with women across the Company, and advocate for women pursuing STEM careers in cybersecurity, technology, and engineering teams across the railroad. I have also held chairperson roles for committees within the Company’s Parent Partnership Group. I currently participate in the Industry’s Rail Information Security Committee, which brings together the cyber security leads of all Class 1 Railroads to ensure the industry’s critical infrastructure protection efforts for cyber.
