About Lori Laqua
As an executive administrator with a specialty in performing arts, I offer 30+ years of experience in all aspects of institutional stewardship and organizational management. A dynamic and responsive thinker, I am known for creating nuanced and effective strategies for moving projects from inception to completion, particularly in areas of financial forecasting, organizational design, space acquisition and use, and strategic cultivation. Over the course of my career, I have grown organizations from operating platforms of $1M to $5M and have lead staff structures from 12 to 200 employees. My network of investors includes long-standing and well-tended relationships with many of the leading foundations, families, and government agencies that support our local and national arts ecology. I love ideas but I invest in people and I believe success comes from nurturing the integrity of both. I came to the performing arts from a visual arts background, having completed doctoral level work in art and architectural history, which greatly influenced the success I enjoyed with three major capital campaigns resulting in new art spaces in San Francisco. My style is one that blends the rigor and research of my academic background with the true grit and life experience of an in-the-trenches top-level manager.
