Using structural and strategic family therapy, I see families with high risk or at-risk youth (commiting crimes/ in the juvenile justive system, truancy, drug use, alcohol use, defiance, school issues, disrespect, runaways etc.) and various MH issues (ADHD, ODD, OCD, conduct disorder, explosive disorder, depression, suicidality etc) Neurofeedback is used to help children and adults with dysregulated brains train their brains to become self-regulated through the use of specific neurological \"games.\" Neurofeedback training has helped adults and children with the following: depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, ODD, conduct disorder, explosive disorder, postpartum depression, traumatic brain injury, concussion, insomnia, fatigue, stroke, seizure disorders, addictive behaviors, emotional dysregulation, migraine headaches and developmental trauma.
