About Lori Gavaghan

Ms. Lorraine M. Gavaghan has more than 20 years of professional experience specializing in Federal government policy and strategic communications implementation. Lori brings more than 15 years of corporate consulting experience for both Federal and Civilian clients. Her portfolio focuses on government oversight issues, policy writing and analysis, international commerce, public and legislative affairs, market research, acquisition life-cycle management, strategic communication strategy, leadership messaging, speech writing, stakeholder outreach, focus group facilitation, change management, and change communications. Prior to consulting she worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Government Reform where she supported Congressional investigations and media outreach. During that time she also worked for the U.S. Senate. Ms. Gavaghan holds a M.A in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University School of Public Policy and a B.A. in both Political Science and Communication Studies from Virginia Tech. Outside of the office, Lori is a RYT 200 Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher, specializing in teaching stress reduction methods through meditation, deep breathing, and strength postures. She also enjoys quality time with her family, friends, sheltie, and sailing.
