Trained as an environmental scientist, I have a unique 37-year background in efficiently and professionally investigating, monitoring, and resolving environmental issues and complaints. I have a direct, results-oriented leadership style emphasizing teamwork and the necessary skills to quickly find solutions to help the Clark County School District (CCSD) meet and exceed CCSD\'s educational mission through the operation side.As the Director of Environmental Services for the 5th largest school in the nation, I lead a responsive team to link indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and preventive maintenance together for healthy schools. Aimed at improving Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) performance and reducing energy costs while promoting healthier spaces for learning, I am implementing an HVAC System and Energy Performance Evaluation and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Sensors Program (Program) for the District’s schools This includes the installation of a smart thermostat platform to assess HVAC unit performance, air filtration efficacy, and replacement strategies, and the installation of IAQ continuous monitoring sensors in classrooms.
