As CEO of The Aphasia Center, I supervise the staff and clinical personnel. I also evaluate, counsel, treat, and educate the families with aphasia who come to our intensive aphasia program. As a small company making big changes, my goal is to help not only the client with aphasia, but also the caregivers and family. I conduct caregiver story interviews as well as testimonial interviews. I write the company newsletter, monitor and change the website, create new video content, write manuals for aphasia education, and keep up with previous clients. I am involved with every aspect of client care before, during, and after the intensive program because I strive to help each client make the best use of their time and training.

ABOUT LORI BARTELS-TOBIN
My objectives are multi-factorial. I want to educate and train other speech-language pathologists in how to make faster and more functional gains with their clients. My main calling is helping those families with aphasia who are overwhelmed, undereducated, stuck, and highly motivated to continue making progress so that they can return to the relationships and activities that they love. I\'m constantly looking to research new treatment methods and work with different facilities to invent new products and revise existing products to make them useful to persons with aphasia. I am also interested in expanding my consultation process to help those who need a second opinion, new therapy ideas, and feedback about intensive aphasia therapy candidacy.
