About Lori Ann Dotson
As Chief Knowledge and Learning Officer at the IABA Research and Education Foundation, Dr. Lori Ann Dotson is leading knowledge dissemination and capacity-building in the field of positive behavior support. She has over 25-years of experience serving families and individuals across the lifespan whose lives have been impacted by multiple disabilities. As a parent-practitioner and bereaved mother, she understands first-hand the urgency for comprehensive and compassionate care. By bridging her lived experience with clinical expertise, applied research and teaching, she is helping to shape practice standards and improve outcomes for individuals and families. In addition, she has extensive experience in leading regional and national clinical and operations teams serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She provides workshops on positive clinical and organizational practices to audiences around the world. Her research in intellectual and developmental disabilities has been presented in peer-reviewed publications and at over 40 academic and professional conferences throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
