ABOUT LORETTA ERHUNMWUNSEE
With a steadfast commitment to health equity and cancer research, our team at City of Hope, bolstered by my thoracic surgical expertise, is making significant strides. Since graduating with an M.D. from Harvard Medical School and holding a Bachelor\'s in Chemistry from Emory University, I have been dedicated to elucidating the drivers of cancer health inequities and to reducing healthcare disparities. Our federally funded research program focuses on understanding the impact of adverse neighborhood social and environmental determinants of health on lung cancer biology, risk and screening behavior. My role as NCCN Vice Chair DEI Director\'s Forum complements my professorship, as we collectively champion diversity and belonging in healthcare. I am committed to transforming the healthcare system to one that values and supports groups that have been historically marginalized.
