ABOUT LORENZO HOPPER
Hi everyone! My name is Lorenzo Hopper and I am an Assistant Professor and Honors Faculty in the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I received my educational training from UNC Chapel Hill (BA & PhD) and my Master of Public Health degree from East Carolina University. I first came to Charlotte as an adjunct instructor in 2016 and transitioned into a full-time position as a Lecturer in 2018 before my current appointment. I also served as Director of the Master of Public Health program until 2022. I have taught both undergraduate and Master of Public Health graduate courses. My research interest broadly includes community-engaged efforts to address health disparities in underserved populations. I also serve as Co-Director of the Charlotte MCH Workgroup
