With the FDA-cleared Tablo® Hemodialysis System, Outset Medical is reimagining dialysis – one of the largest, most expensive, least-changed sectors of healthcare. Half a million Americans depend on dialysis to live and that number is anticipated to grow significantly. Current systems are costly for hospitals and clinics to operate and depend on highly trained clinical staff; patient outcomes and quality of life are poor. Despite the need for change, there has been little innovation in the space in decades. Tablo was specifically designed to simplify dialysis treatment for patients and providers. Tablo is an all-in-one dialysis machine that combines product simplicity, wireless connectivity, and real-time integrated water purification in one mobile 35-inch system. It is easy to learn and use, offering flexible, simple, intelligent dialysis that lowers costs, streamlines workflow, and improves the patient experience. Tablo is being used in hospitals to treat chronic end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and acute kidney injury (AKI); in clinics using a new patient-directed self-care approach; and is being studied for use in the home.
