As a National Director at Big Picture Learning, I lead a team of passionate and innovative educators who are committed to reducing privilege, achievement, education, and opportunity gaps created by systems of oppression. With over 7 years of experience in this organization, I have developed and facilitated professional development programs, engaged and empowered diverse communities, and solved complex problems using data and evidence.My core competencies include staff development, educational leadership, teaching, and noncognitive competencies, which are essential skills and mindsets that support academic success and lifelong learning. I have published a strategy guide on how to implement noncognitive competencies at different levels of the education system, and I have also earned a Master of Education degree and a Principal Certificate from the University of Washington. My mission is to transform education by creating personalized, equitable, and authentic learning opportunities for all students.
