About Jack B.
Jack is a Senior Managing Consultant working in the Office of the CTO, IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions, responsible for managing and executing all levels of the engagement process, including: offering management, architectural analysis and design of offerings and solutions, initial product development, go to market strategy, sales, and solutions enablement, technical enablement, driving revenue consumption, up-line reporting, maintaining the gold standard of excellence and handling escalations management. Jack has worked at IBM since 2011, where he came to Resiliency Services as a lead architect designing several cloud offerings for backup/restore and disaster recovery. He co-invented the cloud blocks building platform for cloud-based VMware workloads and the IBM Cloud Data Virtualization offering. In 2011, Jack teamed up with Simon Kofkin-Hansen, Chris Moss, and Bryan Buckland to join this platform together with automation to become recently known as \"Private Modular Cloud\" and subsequently Cloud Builder Professional Services which matured into the current VCS platform on IBM Cloud which is serving thousands and thousands of virtual machines running on automated VMware Software-Defined Data Center in IBM Cloud. Over the years at IBM, Jack has managed teams, delivered hundreds of clouds worldwide, closed deals, resolved customer satisfaction issues, and everything in between. Before IBM, Jack was a US Marine repairing F/A-18 Avionics radar, weapons, and navigation systems. After the Marine Corps, he spent her career in various technology startups and information technology sectors, starting back in the DOS and CP/M days, into Netware, Windows NT 3.51, Active Directory, CCNA, storage, performance voodoo, etc. Lorelei started working with VMware technology in 2001 and was first certified as a VCP #5210 in the VMware ESX 1.x days. Jack lives in Clayton, NY. When he is not pushing buttons on the keyboard of a computer, Jack enjoys pushing buttons of synthesizers, pianos, and other equipment to create a fun blend of experimental music. He also enjoys studying and writing philosophical treatises and pondering quantum metaphysics.
