ABOUT LOREDANA VESCI
Master degree in Clinical Biology, Doctoral degree in Biochemical and Nutrition Sciences, Sapienza University, Rome. After a collaboration with National Institute of Nutrition (INRAN) in Rome, I have acquired a long experience in R&D for discovery of new anti-inflammatory, anti-hypertensive and anti-tumor drugs at Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals. From 1997 to 2012 I have been Head of the Exp. Oncology Labs at Sigma-Tau and Project Leader for identification and preclinical development of new small molecules with different therapeutic targets in cancer, some of those in clinical development. From 2013 to 2017, I\'ve been Project Leader of a platform of new antibody drug conjugates for cancer, before in Sigma-Tau, then Alfasigma. From 2018 I have been carrying out projects about Microbiome-based therapies for gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases. Co-author of more than 70 scientific papers and co-inventor of more than 20 patents. Expert in Clinical Nutrition, Specialities: Study Director for in vitro and in vivo studies about discovery and preclinical development of new drugs (small molecules), antibody drug conjugates (ADC), probiotics and prebiotics. Responsible of the planning of the experimental design, data control and quality of final reports. As Project Leader, responsible for the planning of the preclinical development up to the Investigator’s Brochure preparation. I have led a team of 10-15 FTE in the company, now I collaborate with different CRO and Academies.
