ABOUT MANLEY
Ex CEO, Founder, Chairman, COO, CCO and CRO; ex BloomReach, and LBi, and now having fun and saving lives.Following a successful military career, I became an arborist until a spinal injury forced a change in circumstances. I moved into tech and worked in digital accessibility for some time before transitioning those skills to discoverability software, although accessibility remains front of mind, both digital and physical, and I sit on the board of an accessibility charity. I started a few UK businesses, some from nothing, which I left as a 900 million business (valued at $2.2 billion globally), powering over 200 Billion in digital commerce experiences, representing 25% of all retail eCommerce experiences in the US and UK. None of it was as much fun as driving fast and saving lives.I have a unique and varied portfolio of experiences which underpin my expertise, and I firmly subscribe to the importance of inspiring others. I have extensive experience of successfully resolving complex problems through use of digital technologies, an excellent all-round knowledge of technologies and how they can facilitate the improvement of customer and business efficiency. I have experience in leading the delivery of digital projects and programmes, ensuring they deliver their specified requirements and objectives, and an excellent working knowledge of the digital principles and best practice, and regional and national drivers surrounding digital delivery and transformation. Having helped the world’s largest e-commerce companies to enhance their customer experiences, proven myself as an expert in the field of Al-driven e-commerce, and consulted for governments and academia, I made the decision to step away from tech and am currently transitioning into a practical healthcare role.I very much enjoy solving problems and finding creative solutions. I am passionate about continuous improvement and apply this to my personal and professional contexts.I have exemplary communication skills (both written and verbal) and a particular strength is ability to adapt to any given audience.I am adaptable and thrive in scenarios where I need to think on my feet. I like learning new things, learn quickly (except for music - I am a terrible singer) and I have worked as the sole employee in the UK, through to being part of (and subsequently leader of) a team of over 200, for organisations numbering from 1, to thousands.I can also breathe fire, but my wife tells me off when I do.
