ABOUT LORCAN DEMPSEY
I am a librarian who has influenced libraries and their development through my writing, speaking and engagement. I have worked successfully at senior levels in complex, multi-interest environments in the education and non-profit sectors. I oversaw the national investment in information resources and services in UK higher education for Jisc, and I have managed two leading R&D units (OCLC Research and UKOLN). I have overseen the development of innovative network information services. My perspective is international. I have worked in Ireland, the UK and the US, and have partnered extensively with libraries and library organizations across the world.
