   Direct a team of designers specializing in Interior Design, Lighting, Architecture, Artwork, Wardrobe and Graphics for the new development of The Universal Beijing Resort located in Tongzhou China. Interior Design Manager for two marquee hotels and the CityWalk entertainment district. Led the first branded Universal Resort hotel from concept through design and construction. Lead the interiors for theme park and resort wide standards. Present creative design concepts to Executives at Universal, NBC and Comcast partners as well as local government officials and delegates. Collaborative work culture with the joint venture and operational partners, GCs, IDFs, vendors and LDI to provide the best product that aligns with Universal’s creative vision, brand guidelines and standards. Direct and provide guidance to the design consultants from schematic design, design development and construction documentation through implementation, while continuing to maintain the required budget and strict schedule deliverables. Hands-on developing blue sky concepts, creative and unique design solutions and superior space planning skills. Review all contract documents, drawings including 3D, technical and FF & E specifications, finish samples and manufacturers shop drawings. Provide on-site field art direction and assure all safety requirements are withheld. Attend factory inspections for quality assurance of all OFI furniture, architectural materials, uniforms, collateral, amenities, artwork and props. Work in conjunction with our Universal partners to assure the design complies with operational requirements. Coordinate with Universal’s international legal and marketing teams to assure all intellectual properties are approved and the assets are properly communicated with the public. Work with the business development team and corporate sponsorships to integrate their design vision. Lead the selection of worldwide vendors to provide products and services.
