I also serve as the legislative representative of WVDA and handle all of the agency’s legislative affairs. I am passionate about serving the agricultural community and the State of West Virginia under Commissioner Kent A. Leonhardt. I have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from West Virginia University College of Law, where I honed my skills in bill drafting, legal research, trial advocacy, legal writing, and oral argument. I also have over 5 years of experience as a licensed attorney, during which I’ve worked with many diverse clients and stakeholders in both the public and private sectors. I am proficient in social networking and professional research, and earned a certification in legal research from LexisNexis. My core competencies and professional insights include excellent communication skills, realtime problem-solving, an unyielding commitment to collaborative work, ethical decision-making, and using a holistic approach to achieve the best possible results.
