ABOUT LONDON MCBRIDE
With over 20 years of experience in law enforcement and public safety leadership, I bring a unique blend of operational knowledge, community engagement, and a deep commitment to equity and social justice. As Threat Management Detective, I conducted high-profile investigations involving stalking, domestic violence, workplace violence, and targeted threats, while coordinating closely with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure unified and effective responses. I’ve overseen and executed dignitary protection operations for high-ranking officials and public figures, with a focus on meticulous planning, discretion, and security excellence. I consult with institutions and organizations on enterprise security, workplace violence prevention, active shooter preparedness, and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), delivering tailored strategies that align safety with organizational culture and values. Throughout my career, I’ve remained focused on fostering trust, creating inclusive environments, and mentoring emerging leaders. At UCLA, I spearheaded student engagement efforts, trained officers on equitable policing practices, and supported our students, staff, and faculty by training them in safety protocols, situational awareness, and personal empowerment. As a doctoral candidate in Education and Professional Practice, I bridge practice with purpose, bringing an academic lens to leadership, public safety reform, and equity-driven change. I’ve trained and spoken to thousands of employees, students, and executives across public and private sectors, empowering others to lead with confidence, resilience, and awareness. As an educator, I aim to transform traditional policing by bridging institutional systems with the lived experiences of the people they serve. I thrive in spaces where relationships matter, where people are empowered to lead, and where teams work collaboratively toward something greater than themselves. Whether through academic research, community service, or organizational strategy, I bring a unique blend of leadership, cultural competency, and a deep belief in the power of education to transform lives. I strive to create safer, more compassionate spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and protected.
