ABOUT LOLA JAMES
Lola James is a dual-degree MPP/MBA candidate at Duke University, concentrating in Strategy and Social Entrepreneurship, with a policy focus in Education. She brings experience at the intersection of corporate strategy, social impact, and program management. Through TL James Consulting, an impact consulting firm she co-founded, she helped multinationals like Heineken and PepsiCo design and implement their sustainability strategies in Nigeria.Prior to Duke, Lola served as an Impact Strategy Consultant at Noah’s Ark, Nigeria’s leading marketing agency. There, she led the firm’s impact portfolio through the Young African Bookworms Initiative, developing and scaling education programs for low-income, school-aged children across Western and Northern Nigeria.Earlier in her career, she worked as National Program Manager at Breast Without Spot, a cancer control organization with programs across 18 states in Nigeria. Lola holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Lagos, where she graduated in the top 1% of her class. Post-graduation, she aims to apply her problem-solving and critical thinking skills in a Corporate Strategy role focused on strategic program leadership, program management, stakeholder engagement, and performance measurement.Outside of work and school, Lola enjoys reading a self-help book, hosting friends to board games and home-cooked meals and watching RomCom.
