About Lokendra Thakur

I am a Mathematical Scientist working at the intersection of Mathematical Biology, Statistical Genetics, Algebraic Topology, and AI/ML. My research develops Algebraic-Topology-based AI systems that emphasize interpretability, transparency, and translational impact in understanding complex diseases. Alongside these frameworks, I create scalable mathematical tools such as ci-fGBD for fast data decomposition and multimodal integration across large biomedical datasets. My recent work includes the Algebraic Topology based AI framework for interpretable multimodal learning; Sheaf-ML, a sheaf-theoretic multimodal learning method; MAP-PRS, an enhanced multi-ancestry polygenic risk model; Microbeyt, an interpretable ML system for microbial plastic-degradation pathways; and SWRM, a robust meta-analysis algorithm for heterogeneous studies. With 500+ citations since 2020 and an h-index of 10, I translate deep mathematical structures into practical tools that advance precision medicine. I welcome collaborations with researchers, clinicians, engineers, and industry partners who want to push the boundaries of interpretable AI, multimodal biomedical modeling, and their translation into clinical diagnosis, interventions, and therapeutics.
