Lead product Development of new articles (Textile Carpets), based on trends and seasons consistently in coordination with Design team in IKEA of Sweden.• Contribute to the development projects from technology, material, process, construction compliance and manufacturing perspective to support scalability and affordability for end customers. • Lead the engineering and quality to standardize the base quality, construction & processes of new products for smooth production of large volumes securing compliance with all requirements. • Actively Identify and execute product improvement with priority across supply chain, focusing efficient utilization of material, technology, processes & packaging to satisfy customers’ needs better. • Securing all the documents and requirements in IKEA system. Verification of all the test requirements and reports. • Conducting Risk assessments of NEWS articles development process at development stage, using quality tools such as FMEA and securing the identified risk by continuously monitoring the implemented solutions. • Follow-up of Product Quality and production processes for IKEA suppliers. Identifies and solves bottlenecks of production in the factory. • Evaluate potential new supplier’s production facilities and quality systems to ensure compliance with IKEA requirements & Standards-Specific to NEWS. • Keep updated with trends in terms of technology, material, process etc. and share with HFB team to adapt in upcoming developments. • Co-operates with suppliers in improving their compliance with IKEA quality standards and meet IKEA’s quality and product safety requirements. • Evaluate potential new supplier’s production facilities and quality systems • Curious to know unknown and what’s new coming up and how new ness can be added in product aligning with IKEA requirements and standards.
