Founded a non-profit in 2014 to address food insecurity in Somerset County and surrounding areas to meet the needs of segments of the population who struggle to meet basic needs. We focused on engaging many hands from the community to serve the community, opening eyes to the need that is hidden and misunderstood in every town and city. From the beginning, we launched with an excess number of very excited volunteers ready to serve the need and now involve over 150 volunteers each week by \"Cultivating Contagious Volunteerism!\" This culture has made created a resilience and impact that is nothing short of amazing, creating more informed and caring citizens and truly building community. As a result, Feeding Hands has responded with excellence to pandemic, flood, and the resulting three years+ of \"homelessness\" while not missing a single scheduled weekly food distribution. Feeding families and growing each month from a main hub and three satellite locations we continue to attract more and engage more volunteers than organizations many times our size. In 2024, this resulted in over hours of volunteer service where we inspired students, future leaders, current leaders, and community members from 10-97 years young, while providing a welcoming, friendly, and healthy environment for our families in need of a little help. We are truly different and everyone who is involved, served or observes is \"Wowed\".
