Performed industrial stormwater facility evaluations, prepared reports for regulatory compliance, and designed and recommended BMPs to address identified deficiencies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Prepared the surface water section for multiple environmental impact statements (EIS) on behalf of energy utilities, enabling the installation of small modular nuclear reactors.Conduct risk and resiliency assessments for 114 Georgia-based small-scale water systems and then authored individual emergency response plans, ensuring improved resiliency and EPA AWIA compliance.Obtained and processed data from all water utilities in Georgia for the 2022 Clean Watershed Needs Survey resulting in $25.57 billion in recorded wastewater and stormwater infrastructure needs and in Georgia receiving a larger portion of the EPA\'s state revolving loan fund and grant program.Prepared a Basis of Design (BoD) for the installation of a new wastewater treatment plant for a former mining facility. The new plant would reduce the existing plant’s flow while providing the same pH adjustment.Assisted a facility with their initial TRI reporting. The facility had never reported despite being operational for several decades. Assisted them with locating and collecting the appropriate records and developed a spreadsheet which allowed them to enter and record the data themselves in the future saving a considerable time and regulatory cost burden. Provided guidance on the TRI requirements and ensured they recorded the proper constituents to become compliant.

ABOUT LOGAN TERHEGGEN

As a recent chemical engineering graduate working in the nuclear remediation industry, I am committed to making an environmental impact. I have experience in optimizing batteries for fuel cells, writing proposals to solve existing problems in commercial and industrial environments, and analyzing systems for possible improvement. Currently, I work in a group which oversees the transfer of hazardous waste between tanks and ensures that each transfer meets Department of Energy safety requirements and standards. During college, I conducted research investigating alternative electrolyte solutions for lithium-ion batteries. This familiarized me with the mechanics of batteries, as well as the limitations of and potential for renewable energy in society’s future. Additionally, I worked on projects related to watersheds and improving water quality through environmental remediation methods. My skills are best utilized in a team-based, hands-on role requiring analytical thinking and an ability to learn new skills. I am best suited for a position with a focus on environmental remediation or alternative energy development.
