I didn’t enter college knowing exactly what career I wanted, I just knew that when I toured George Fox University and stepped into the engineering workshop, it felt right. I told my parents that whatever major would let me work in that space was the one I wanted to pursue. That decision led me to spend the next four years immersed in hands‑on learning, culminating in a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university that first sparked my interest.That foundation prepared me well for the professional world, where I began my career at Lam Research in the semiconductor industry. I initially joined as a Technical Writer, quickly advancing into a Manufacturing Engineering role, and later moving into a Mechanical Engineering position on the Fixtures team. Each transition expanded my technical skill set and gave me exposure to a wide range of challenges across manufacturing and production support operations.My current role demands agility and adaptability, with each day presenting a diverse mix of problem‑solving, design, and collaboration. I’m motivated by work that is both technically challenging and meaningful, and I continually strive to apply what I’ve learned to make lasting contributions while growing my capabilities as an engineer.
