My name is Logan Dorsett and I am an Associate Attorney with Harris, Finley & Bogle. My practice centers around transactional oil and gas and renewable energy. Graduating magna cum laud from Texas Tech with degrees in Energy Commerce, Marketing, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence with a focus on Energy Law, I bring a different perspective and experience to complex problems. Working for ISN in Dallas, Texas, I was exposed to contractor and operator compliance with health, safety, and insurance requirements for a number of major companies. These include Exxon Mobil, Genesis, Motiva, and American Midstream. Negotiating, drafting, and analyzing different aspects of oil and gas development at Southwestern Energy has given me the unique insight being in my clients shoes. During my time in The Woodlands, Texas, I coordinated with brokers running title, negotiated oil and gas leases, amendments to leases, and made a positive impact on completed lateral expansion for development in the Marcellus Shale. Being on the broker side of major due diligence acquisitions has played a pivotal role in the advice and counsel given to current and future clients. Researching and clearing title through complex due diligence projects in Reeves and Glasscock counties has given me first hand experience in my title opinion drafting.I am passionate about the work I do and the clients that I represent.
